Trusted care that supports and empowers responsible pet owners every day.
Referral veterinary care can be daunting for pet owners. At CoraVets, we acknowledge this, and aim to simplify and de-stress the experience. Clear information, clear planning, and clear pricing are at the core of our commitment to you and your pets.
We know that life is busy, and we respect your time. We strive to offer timely referral, flexible appointment scheduling, and to keep you informed every step of the way.
We will liaise with you and your vet to ensure all necessary information is available ahead of your visit.
On arrival, our client care team will greet you, and let the clinical team know that you have arrived. We know that you may have travelled some distance to visit us, and have designed a comfortable reception area where you can avail of complementary coffee and refreshments, as well as toilet facilities.
Your vet sends us the referral and we arrange your appointment, answering any initial questions and confirming details 24 hours before.
At your visit, our specialist reviews your pet’s case and clearly explains any recommended tests or procedures before you decide.
Your pet may be admitted the same day or scheduled shortly after; while in hospital, we provide daily updates.
You’ll receive written aftercare instructions and medications, and we’ll update your primary vet with a full clinical summary and arrange any follow-ups needed.
Compassion, Transparency & Excellence
Choosing specialist care can feel overwhelming — we’re here to make it clear, supportive, and stress-free.
We prioritise trust, communication, and compassionate care at every step.
With fixed pricing and Ireland's first veterinary surgical guarantee, you'll always know what to expect - clinically and financially.
Complications happen. They are an unavoidable fact of surgical life and while we can’t guarantee that every case will progress smoothly to a perfect outcome, we strive every day to achieve that exact goal. If your pet experiences complications after surgery CoraVets will undertake any treatments required to allow us to resolve the complication and achieve the best possible outcome for your pet. The best part? It doesn’t cost you anything extra.
I have worked with Dr. Stephen Martin for several years and can attest to his exceptional surgical skill and judgment. He routinely manages complex cases, delivering excellent outcomes with meticulous pre‑operative planning and attentive post‑operative care. Beyond his clinical expertise, he is ethical, honest, and humble, communicating clearly and compassionately with clients. I highly recommend Dr. Stephen Martin for any pet requiring advanced surgical care.
I’ve trusted Stephen with the care of my own pets and would recommend his expertise for any pet requiring advanced surgical care.
Dr. Martin is an exceptional surgeon and colleague. He is technically excellent in both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery with consistently positive patient outcomes. Just as importantly, he is collaborative, approachable, and genuinely invested in empowering his team and communicating openly with referring veterinarians. Dr. Martin is also extraordinarily devoted to his clients, going out of his way to ensure they can access high-level veterinary care in a fair and reasonable way. He practices for all the right reasons: high-quality patient care, integrity with clients, and true partnership with colleagues. I have trusted him for years with many patients, and I would trust him with my own pets.
I have been working with Stephen for three years. He is a dedicated veterinary surgeon whose sincere care for his patients shines through in every aspect of his practice. His compassion, expertise, and steadfast commitment to their well-being always set him apart. No matter the case—whether routine or complex surgery—he treats every patient with patience, empathy, and remarkable attention to detail. It has truly been a privilege to witness the exceptional care he provides and the comfort he offers both pets and their families.
Dr. Stephen Martin is one of the most skilled, clear, and compassionate veterinary surgeons I have encountered. He successfully performed surgery on my 16-year-old toy poodle, Buffy, who also faces other health challenges, including an esophageal tumor and mitral valve disease. Dr. Martin has a wonderful bedside manner and took the time to explain every option, providing clear guidance and outlining the pros and cons, even anticipating questions before they were asked. During Buffy’s recovery, he replied to my concerns promptly, providing reassurance and advice whenever needed. I am deeply grateful for Dr. Stephen’s care and expertise during this challenging time.
A Veterinary Specialist is a veterinary practitioner who has completed advanced training and examinations in a specific area of veterinary practice. These vets have usually achieved post-graduate diploma-level qualifications, recognised by European specialist institutions and entitling them to diplomat status. This qualification signifies they have received in-depth, supervised training in their specialist field, ensuring breadth and depth of knowledge, confirmed by board examination. Equivalent to consultants in the human medical field, specialist status signifies expertise, and is regularly scrutinised and re-accredited. This process ensures that your pets are offered the most up-to-date and proven treatments available. Click Here
