Terms of Guarantee
Zero Blame.
We understand that you want your pet to recover as smoothly and comfortably as possible. So do we. We discharge each patient with an individualised recovery plan, and whilst we hope that you will follow these instructions carefully, we also understand that sometimes pets can be mischievous and accidents can happen. If something unexpected and unfortunate happens, our focus will be on diagnosing and understanding the problem, and fixing it.
Follow-up appointments.
Everybody is busy, and time is precious. We strive to minimise need for hospital revisits, and where possible to allocate these visits at the most convenient times. As part of your pets recovery plan, we will outline a minimum required follow-up (including in-person visits) that are included in your initial costs. These appointments are important to allow us to monitor your pets progress, and we do expect your pet to attend follow-up appointments.
Work with us.
If you have any worries during your pets recovery (or after they have been signed off), call us. Your pet remains our patient long after their discharge from our hospital, and we want to know how they are doing. We prefer to hear your concerns and offer reassurance, even if it is a simple review of a WhatsApp video/photo, than to have a potential problem ignored.
No cost.
If a post-surgical complication occurs that requires medical or surgical treatment, we will undertake that treatment at no additional cost to you.
24-7 Availability.
Somebody is always available. We prioritise your pets’ care and wellbeing, as well as your peace of mind. If you have a concern, please call. Your call will be answered, and your issue dealt with, regardless of the time of day……or night.
Follow up consultation fee.
A follow up consultation fee of €100 may be charged, please ask our Client Care Team if this will apply to your visit.
The fine print.
- ‘Post-surgery complications’ are those presented to us within three calendar months of the original surgery. Most surgical complications appear within a few weeks of surgery.
- As you can appreciate, early treatment of any problem optimises the outcome of that treatment. Please ensure that you don’t delay contacting or reporting any issues to us. Our guarantee only covers treatments performed at CoraVets.
- The responsibility for transporting your pet to and from our hospital, including costs incurred, remains the owners’.
- As with any hospital service, we always aim to provide our best estimation of outcome. Some cases don’t achieve “perfect” recovery, and this is usually anticipated and explained. Please remember that failure for your pet to achieve a “perfect” outcome does not necessarily represent a complication, and often simply represents the expected outcome for the problem treated.
- We can accept no responsibility for treatment performed, or costs incurred, at other veterinary clinics, emergency hospitals, or jurisdictions. CoraVets should be your first call if you have concerns.
- This guarantee is activated on full payment of your invoice. This guarantee is voided by incomplete payment, or by deviation from our prescribed treatment and/or recovery protocols, including failure to re-present for prescribed follow-up appointments.
